WHERE TO GO
Inventory → Item Ledger, or Items → selected item history
Step by step
Choose the item you need to investigate.
Set the date range if the report offers one.
Read the opening or brought-forward quantity before the period.
Review each inward and outward movement with its source document.
Open the relevant invoice or claim to investigate an unexpected movement.
What to check
- Opening quantity plus inward movements minus outward movements reconciles to the closing quantity.
Things to know
- A Claim Replacement is an inventory issue for a claim; it is not an ordinary sale.
- Sorting rows changes the presentation, not the closing balance. Reversal rows remain in history.
